A serious spectacle of stupendous sounds and stunning surf films, our flagship event the ‘SATURDAY SLIDE’ is not to be missed. If you can only make it to one event- make it this one!
Held at the Beach Hotel which sits at the forefront of Byron’s main beach, this event will have you movin’ and groovin’ to the beats of acclaimed international and local artists!
The lineup includes one of the finest live blues/hip-hop/alternative musicians around- G. LOVE! direct from the USA, supported by local soul songster Bobby Alu, and Paula Fuga‘s beautiful voice from the beaches of Hawaii. G. Love is renowned for his funky, high energy crazy-good live shows- and we hear he’s gonna bring it all to Byron. With so much talent floating around the festival chances are there’ll be a few Special Guests that’ll sit-in and throw-down with the G too!

Plus- in celebration of the 25th Anniversary of Jack McCoy’s seminal surf films ‘Green Iguana’ and Bunyip Dreaming’ the evening will start with a star-studded line-up of musicians live scoring the original tracks from six select movie scenes- projected across multiple screens throughout the venue. Performing will be Terepai Richmond, Tim Baker, Kyle Slabb, Dave Rastovich, Fletcher Pilon and, backed by the psychedelic surf funksters Band of Frequencies. Presented by Jack McCoy himself, if you’re a fan of surf film then you just have to see this!
