2020 new venue
This years BBSF will be held at the Old Arts Factory, now known as Byron Bay Brewery!!
Byron Bay Brewery has been a pillar of the Byron Bay community for the last 35 years with a deep history of live music and supporting the arts.
BBB has partnered with BBSF as a major venue, and beer sponsor, giving us the amazing opportunity to house almost every festival event under one roof (besides the surfing!!). With it’s newly renovated spaces The Brewery provides the perfect venue for all our festival needs!!
The restaurant will be open for lunch and dinner throughout the entire festival and at the bar you and your crew can grab ice cold boutique beers on tap which are all brewed in house!!! How good!
SATURDAY AT BBB
After the morning beach clean up at Wategos The Brewery front carpark will be the spot for the popular BBSF 2020 Surf Art Markets which brings together mostly local businesses and a select few surfboard shapers selling their wares, artisan products and surf paraphernalia.
This outdoor space is the perfect backdrop to shop, eat and listen to the epic live music on offer throughout the whole day.
In between stints at the Brewery head out to Cape Byron for Wategos Wizards, a Surf Comp for Blokes and Mermaids!!
From 12pm we move into the Band Room for the Shaka Events where live talks by the likes of WaterPeople Podcast and some of surf cultures biggest legends (like Tom Wegener)!!
Also kicking off around 1pm in the Brewery’s newly reno’d Cinema is Surf Culture Big Screen premiering Amazing new feature surf films as well as some local shorts!
Closing off the night in the Band Room we have an epic lineup of bands including Cupid and the Stupids and the Saturday night headliners Goons of Doom!!

Friday at bbb
BBSF will bring all it’s land events to the Byron Bay Brewery.
Friday night after the group art show at the RVCA Gallery on Jonson street, The Brewery will play host to the official opening party for BBSF 2020.
The Beer Garden sets the stage, literally, for the Sunset Cinema, with Special Guests followed by live music by DIDIRRI and supports in the Band Room.
SUNDAY AT BBB
SUNDAY!! The closing of the festival and the night of nights at Byron Bay Brewery!
After spending the day at Wategos for Fluro Sunday and the Freestyle & Stoke Surf Sessions the whole crew will be heading straight back to BBB to wrap up the Festival!!
With The Swellians and the BBSF awards ceremony in the Beer garden and then live music on in the Band Room we’ll be ready to celebrate exactly the way we all know how!! Yeew!! (exciting secret band announcement coming!!)
