WORLD PREMIERE OF JACK COLEMAN’S “NATURAL HIGH”
Starring Steph Gilmore, Bryce Young, Ryan Burch, Derrick Disney and more!
Californian surf filmmaker Jack Coleman has chosen Byron Bay for the world premiere of his 10th independent surf title, NATURAL HIGH.
The film, shot over three years in Hawaii, Indonesia, France, Mexico, California and Australia, is narrated by Californian surf icon John Peck and features a vast cast including Ryan Burch, Bryce Young, Derrick Disney and Stephanie Gilmore.
It will premiere on Thursday 8 September as part of Vissla’s Cosmic Creek retro surf event which is running under the umbrella of the Byron Bay Surf Festival. The premiere is open to the public.
NATURAL HIGH features John Peck guiding the viewer through his vision of what the sun represents and why it activates our inner soul.
“NATURAL HIGH expands upon the fringes of surf design and theory, featuring the renaissance shapes of Ryan Burch, Robin Kegel and Derrick Disney,” says John Peck.
“I define surfing as the action art of riding a wave of energy, leaving only a disappearing wake behind … a total now-dance of harmony with the waves energy at its source. When I swim or paddle out to catch an ocean wave I’m exercising my forgotten wings”.
“When I wait for the right wave to come to carry me, I am meditating on natural reality and absorbing vital minerals from the mother of all biological life on this plant … the ocean.
“Patience, health and wisdom naturally result.”
NATURAL HIGH cast members include RYAN BURCH, BRYCE YOUNG, DERRICK DISNEY, KOBE HUGHES, STEPHANIE GILMORE, LEAH DAWSON, ROBIN KEGEL, ANDY NIEBLAS, GAVIN BESCHEN, MANANALU CHANDLER, MAINEI KINIMAKA, ALANNA PARRA, TOSH TUDOR, ERIC SNORTUM AND JOHN PECK.
