1. Introduction 1.1. By entering the Byron Bay Surf Festival Online Competition (the “Competition”), you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. 1.2. The Competition is organized by the Byron Bay Surf Festival (“Organizer”).
2. Eligibility 2.1. The Competition is open to individuals aged 15 years or over as of the date of entry. 2.2. Employees of the Organizer, their immediate families, and anyone otherwise connected with the organization or judging of the Competition are not eligible to enter.
3. Competition Period 3.1. The Competition will run from 09:00 AEST on 18th July to 23:59 AEST on 18th August. 3.2. Entries received outside this period will not be considered.
4. How to Enter 4.1. Participants can enter the Competition by scanning the QR code provided and submitting their details via the Byron Bay Surf Festival website. 4.2. Only one entry per person is permitted.
5. Prize 5.1. The major prize includes:
- A Trigger e-bike from CRUZR
- A surfboard from Varuna Surf
- A $1,000 Hydro Flask gift pack
5.2. The prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable, and is not redeemable for cash or other prizes.
6. Winner Selection 6.1. The winner will be chosen at random from all valid entries received during the Competition Period. 6.2. The draw will take place within 72 hours of the Competition concluding. 6.3. The winner will be notified via the contact details provided at the time of entry within 7 days of the draw date.
7. Claiming the Prize 7.1. The winner must claim their prize within 14 days of being notified. If the winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within this period, the Organizer reserves the right to withdraw the prize and select a replacement winner. 7.2. The prize will be delivered to the winner within 30 days of the winner’s claim. At the winners expense. Assistance with freight services will be provided to the winner if applicable.
8. General Conditions 8.1. The Organizer reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the Competition in whole or in part at any time without prior notice. 8.2. The Organizer’s decision on all matters relating to the Competition is final and binding. No correspondence will be entered into. 8.3. By entering the Competition, participants consent to the use of their name and image in any publicity material, as well as their entry.
9. Data Protection 9.1. Any personal data collected during the course of the Competition will be used for administering this Competition and as described in these terms and conditions. 9.2. Personal data will be handled in accordance with the Organizer’s privacy policy, which is available on the Byron Bay Surf Festival website.
10. Liability 10.1. The Organizer accepts no responsibility for any damage, loss, liabilities, injury, or disappointment incurred or suffered by you as a result of entering the Competition or accepting the prize. 10.2. The Organizer further disclaims liability for any injury or damage to your or any other person’s computer relating to or resulting from participation in or downloading any materials in connection with the Competition.
11. Governing Law 11.1. The Competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
